During my travels to find various meshes for my 3D model designs I came across this website from a link at EvE Online.
ThingLab
Basically what they do is they take your 3D model image and convert that image into a datum replication database. After a few specification queries Your model is then reproduced from the 3D image into an actual physical model to display.
What a perfect way for those who design their own sci-fi ships of being able to actually bring their version of their ship or alien to life.

I submitted my design for the Pilyhas-1 which is an Interstellar Starship design designed by using modules from the International Space Station.
