Practical1/2256 Star Destroyer

Well I've started a new project. I am scratchbuilding an Imperial-I class Star Destroyer. It is 1/2256 scale, the same as the new Republic Star Destroyer from Revell. So far I have an internal frame structure built and the lower hull skin attached. The ship is about 28.5 inches in length. I will be also constructing two Venators painted in Imperial grey for a display I hope to have finished by Wonderfest next year. I will be making a display of Imperial strength a little after the establishment of the Empire. I chose the Imperial-I class as it would be the newest type at that time. Just so you know the Imperial-I is the Devastator for the opening shot of Ep IV. So it will have the triple baffles on the engines, the tilted communications array and a slightly different hanger and superstructure configuration. I should have some initial construction pictures up tomorrow.
