hi!
i realy am desperate by now.i have tried several tutorials on how to export my texture with my model.it just won't work.with each of these tutorials telling it differently it's kind of hard not to get confused.i use 3ds max 2008,the plugins work,i use dds format, crytek shader, uvw mapping, export material, all to crysis/game/objects...yet all i see is the model.
does anyone have a link to a PROPER tutorial please.i am running out of ideas.my motivation is at stake.Help

I think you might be asking the wrong people. We don't specialise in crysis modelling. If someone does know here they'll say so, but you're more likely to get results asking somewhere where you know that people who use that exporter are to be found.

Yeah, this place is probably the best place to start: Main Page - CryWiki

You might be doing something "odd" with your export that Crysis doesn't understand but the crymod wiki and forums are probably the best place to check for the best workflow and to ask for help

for exporting models with textures be sure to 'bake' them on, often you have to supply the images files with the model though for it to work properly with most cases, i never learnt to bake but my tutor used that word a lot when we where working with game engines

Did he use that in conjunction with AO, light and normal maps though as baking is usually a method of rendering detail from a high poly model on to a low poly model? Diffuse can be done this way too
