3ds max 8 - AXIS Constraint gizmo

Okay now I am mad....were the heck did my axis constraint move gizmo go in my viewport......I have spent the last 45min going through freakin' help file, documentation, ui configuration

I freakin' changed something and now cannot find out what it was......help!

    I'm not sure if this is what you're talking about, and you probably know of this already, but just in case did you try pressing X ? Did the gizmo completely disappear?

    The gizmo gets messed up every now and then for me, restarting max an merging the scene I was working on usually helps. :S
