Texturing a Starship

Hello!

Where can i find a good tutorial abouth texturing a starship?

    I searched in google, but didnt found any good. I have a modelled starship, withouth textures. Does anyone have some suggestion?

    Look for tutorials on unwrapping and your 3d application as you will need to unwrap the model before you texture it unless you are using purely procedural textures. Once you have managed to unwrap the model look for Photoshop/PSP/GIMP tutorials on how to make panel-based and metal textures. That should give you a solid starting point

    i want to suggest you a great book i'm reading:
    "3D Game Textures: Create Professional Game Art Using Photoshop" by Luke Ahearn.
    Don't worry about 3D Game; it's the perfect book to learn how to get some nice textures in photoshop!

    For the unwrapping, use google!

    even if you're gonna use procedural mapping, you're still gonna need to do at least a basic unwrap. Otherwise, the maps will be "stretched"
