Thanks. I have to do them with the surfaces however. The edge extrusion is worst in 2020. I tried to go around it, but the results were just difficult to control.
On the panels, I put the same texture and burned a scratched metal one, by combining them. I like the result.
Yeah, I saw where you mentioned the extrusion being messed up in 2020 previously. It's always a shame when they mess up features in software like that. But, doing it with the materials works fine. I also like the result of that combined texture, it looks good.
It looks like a good amount of paneling to me. Though, I don't know if there's any specific ship types you're drawing influence from or if you're just making it up as you go.

I have a general idea, but I make it has I go. The concept of the ship is that: it is very old and many parts were replaced or added. Even if they look like new, they were not part of the original design. It started more like a saucer, then they added wings, extra engines, a gun turret on rails. The panels came later after repairs on certain area. That's why it's uneven, and the texture is different.
So I was able to skin wrap a greeble (old nurnies I bought at Squid). Just took me 3 hours to make it work. I did some windows. I tried them round, oval. I decided to continue with odd shapes.

I made the texture and modified the wing area. I want to put something in the boolean of the wing.

I think you're definitely pulling off the look of stuff added on later really well.
Put the diagonal supports in the center of the wings
I will surely do a poster or two. But I am kind of tired of it.
Seems my limit has been reached.
