Here's something I made several months ago, but never got around to rendering properly until today. My own design, built from scratch in Cinema 4D, some post-work in Photoshop.
The concept is that after the Empire's defeat at Endor, they found that their shipyards were producing more fighters than their fleet could support. Thus several partially completed ISDs were converted into makeshift carriers.

What do you think of the level of detail? The quality of the render? The overall composition? The background? The concept? Stop sniping, and help me become a better artist, please.
I'd lose the photo background and create something higher res, right now it looks like a model slapped on a low res photo background.
I'd tone down the panels texture so it isn't so obvious, the ISD by fractalsponge has so much detail it hasn't actually got any textures at all but your textures are drowning out the details on the model.
Lastly i'd work on the lighting and angle of the ship, even though we know how big a star destroyer is there's nothing in this image that conveys a sense of scale. A more dynamic lighting setup will also greatly improve the menacing mood that a ship like this should give.
Hope that helps a bit
Thankyou, that's much more helpful. I'm sorry if I was a bit snotty earlier - I was in a bad mood yesterday.
"Photo background"? I made that nebula myself :P
I'll give some thought to the texture and composition, though I thought the panel texture was quite subtle already.
Maybe have a squadron of tie-fighters flying escort? A ship of the line always has a CAP (Combat Air Patrol) of some sort, and it would help with the scale, too.
I suggest integrating the tubes into the hull in a way that isn't so clandestine.
Have the tubes directly a part of the hull and not things "stuck on".
Besides that, the ship looks very nice and well concieved. Very nicely done.
