Max 9 tab panel

I am sure you got the question before but the search is getting all wonky...

Can anyone tell me where in the world is the tab panel on MAX 9 ? on my max 5 i could find it no problem but max 9 i cant...

any ideas

    Not entirely sure what you mean by the tab panel, but I've noticed that loading the max4 legacy UI solves great many difficulties when I'm upgrading. :)

    Is the tab panel the small one to the left of the viewports? if so, try to show/unhide/display the Reactor toolbar...if it's something else, well dunno.

    ah, the tab thingies like max 3 !

    preferences, UI, find the one you love. i think there's one old there.

    if it really does bother you, go to maya. lots of tabs everywhere. i hate this.

    Oh-ho-ho! No need to go to Maya - I have a solution for everyone! As well as an explaination. In Max6, they removed the traditional Tab Bar - that anyone who's ever used Max5 or earlier loved. All later verisons don't come with it out of the box.
    On the plus side, there is an extremely simple solution.
    3ds max 6 Tab Bar - Misc Utility / External Plugins for 3dsmax
    Download that, extract the contents to 3dsmax9UI and go to Customize>UI>Toolbars>Load> Max6 with tab bar.*
    That'll give you your tab bar back.
    Works perfectly with no problems in Max 9.

    man howy, i dont like you..you always come and solve the problem....:D...

    man i was so in love in that toolbar that max7 broke my hart when it was with out it....

    but i kinda dotn need it now...i learnd all the bloody shortcuts....and my work space is bigger :shiner:
