Lightwave: Motion blur not doing what I want

GrimGrim0 Posts: 0Member
Hi guys. Im trying to get a motion blur effect for fast moving HV sprites. The normal way LW renders is an even spread making the image just an even blur from left to right.

The effect I want is more of a ghosting effect. I want to see the HV sprite as normal but with a ghost trail behind it.

I've tried google but i'm not exactly sure what to look for, what its called. Can anyone help?

Thanks

vector blur is what you want, it's a plugin you need to activate.

    Thanks for your response.

I have tried vector blur on both Vector and Blur settings, neither affects volumetrics. I also read somewhere that it does not support volumetrics. I'm still looking around.

I've read this: Using Vector Motion Blur - Tutorials - LightWave 3DAR

Just remembered this is the tut that says vector blur doesnt work for volumetrics.
