spline + poly attaching?

is there anyway to attach a poly object to a spline and keep the properties of the spline?

im trying to create the arms of this character and splines work the best its just that i want a dome type cap at the end as seen in the picture

can anyone help me?

    Do you want to keep the spline properties so you can move the arm?
    if so, I'd suggest to take a straight spline or cylinder, convert it to poly and attach your end cap, and the use a "bend" modifier to bend the arms.
    I'm sure you could rig the arm, but I have no idea how that'd work :(

    I believe you can use a path deform modifier

    well i figured it out thanks to you guys, i tried both and came up with the idea to create a line add a skin modifier bones and then add my arm object with the path deform, and i also added more segments into the arm to make it look correct

    prbably going to make the arms shorter
