LW9: eliminating dimness in motion blur

Hey everybody!

So. Primarily for stars and windows, has anybody out there worked out how to make luminous items NOT grow darker when subjected to motion blur? I'm about to try to rube-goldberg something into existence to solve this and I wanted to make sure somebody else hadn't found a solution before I got to far into it. Thanks!

    render out a luminous pass, comp and brighten in post.

    LW9 eh....that's a ways back.

    the 'accurate' solution is to work with linear gamma, which is a manual process in LW9
