I'm working on my second science fiction novel - both writing and designing the cover.
On the cover of my first book was my battle carrier.
On the cover of my second book will be the battle carrier and the dreadnought.
I started designing it today so I'm still playing around with the basic shape.
I am liking how it is turning out so far.
Trying not to make it look to star destoyerish.
This thing is much bigger than the battle carrier and the carrier was huge!

I would suggest further spacing out the turrets though, particularly in order to avoid the 'pyramid' looking command area from a Star Destroyer.
I have finalized the shape of the main hull - now on to adding details.

To avoid the Star Destroyer look I would narrow the hull severely, with some outrigger wings and move the bridge further forward. Think the LCS.
