3DConstitution Reboot (2017)

I've finally started on the next version on my old Constitution reboot. Will I actually take this one to completion? Who knows, but I'm doing it anyway! This project is basically my subject for learning CG in my spare time. I've completely changed my modeling technique which means another learning curve, but also more fun.

Nothing to show yet, but I just wanted to get the thread up to motivate me. Cheers!

Your meshes are always great to see come to life, so I'll be following this one with interest! :)

I'm curious, in what way did you 'completely changed your modeling technique'?

Awwww yeah, this will be awesome. Are you doing OpenSubdiv?

I'm basically using SubD modeling with proper topology. Most of the parts will be properly connected to one another, instead of just having intersecting meshes. :)

That's a noble goal, but it can cause some issues. UV mapping it will be fun, for one thing. ;) But, it certainly looks good from just that bit. Nice and clean.
