So I'm talking a little break,, first afternoon of modelling has lead me to this mesh,

Would like to gain your options on layout, details, proportions and even name.

I don't create startrek ships very often and when I do I tend to do silly mashups like JJ-trek vs VOY or in this case VOY vs TNG.

You can also play around with the model here.

In terms of scale, it's about 600m long, so think soveriegn-ish - Again, another long range patrol vessel that sits sometime beyond VOY - although placing it in the JJ-verse sometime in the TNG period might be an option.

I look forward to your thoughts on this initial stage

Looks kind of like something I was working on some time ago.

    Apocphase2pic1.jpg

This was the flagship of a group of ships dedicated to annihilating the Borg. The USS Apocalypse and her sister ships,

    the USS Armageddon

    ArmPhase2pic1.jpg

    and the USS Archangel.

Gotta say you're off to a nice start, I could see this as an addition to the Borg Busters fleet.

    Borg busters eh?
Those are indeed interesting designs there BoogerMC.

A friend told me that all my star trek ships look the same and I said "challenge accepted"

SO, tonight this happened... (a cross between an Oberth Class and a deep space science vessel

As interesting as that is (and it is) I actually like the one in the first post better, particularly the smooth flow between the parts. The second design looks blockier than the first one.

Love the name, but yeah, kind of agree with Evil. Maybe if you smoothed some of the edges, made things flow a bit more, and rounded instead of hard edged the body. Just a couple of suggestions.

I like the overall idea. Especially the nacelles, being this vertically enlongated, has a wonderful reminiscence to the TMP-era.

I like both designs! the first ship's hull might need to be pushed back a bit imho.
the 2nd one .. maybe reform half of the lower hull more like the dish and keep the second half as is.

ok no i like the second ship more lol:D

    great modeling

No booleans, the mesh isn't fixed.

Might try something in between and formalise the 3 designs over the next week or so.

    The names:

    USS Aristotle
    USS Hippocrates
    USS Ptolemy

Love the angle on this design here, while even the shape looks great.
