starting Trek ship model

Hi all,
Im new to SC meshes as of today.
I am a VFX student and am working on building a trek (tng) ship as part of my
final exam ( live action with vfx short movie ),
Seeing the meshes here in SC meshes is giving me lots of inspiration.
But most of all i want to learn more about modeling. So any and All tips,
pointers, tutorials, suggestions are More than welcome. Pm preferable.
ill be posting a Wip thread soon.
