Here is a first WIP shot of a Pre-TOS era hallway that I started as practice since I am learning Blender.
This may be a hallway in the U.S.S.Tucker that I am creating.
Might I suggest to make the hallway a bit narrower? Especially for a warship, this takes up way too much space. Keep in mind that the broader the walkways, the less space you have for other stuff, like all the machinery for phaser turrets (to give an example). In that light, you might want to cut down on the size of that lower diagonal part. If you go narrower, people might trip over it and it gives you less available space to let people walk in particular. A tube here and there might be a good idea as well, especially considering that this is pre-TOS Have a look at this Hell's Gate HVAC cut through; I'm not saying your corridor should have that many (and obvious) piping, but it does bring it to life
Playing with nurbs in Blender and I came up with this. Question how can I now close the top and bottom holes on this saucer. I am not sure if I will go further but I will see.
Still working on my first Blender created starship. Deleted the original secondary hull and created this new one tonight.

I decided to see what she would look like with a double saucer. I am still working on the original ship, but here is a second in my new fleet of misfits.
This being your first 3D ship, it's coming along very nicely. In my opinion, this is the best way to learn the software: just get in there and build stuff. Though, as you get more comfortable with it, you may want to look at some tutorials that will help you refine your skills. Just a thought.

Thanks. I do have tutorials on lynda.com and a few other places that I am watching. I get to a point where I want to play.
also think it looks promising, nice start, keep experimenting like this, you can try and find new concepts along the way, thats one of the joys of modeling
two bridges, two captains, oh the arguments, then again makes for good tv ^^, i dont think dual saucers are viable but its nice for a design exercise, would suggest it as a design challenge for the pros here, i think its near impossible, maybe atolm could make it work

just slapped it on in photoshop
Nice. I had a feeling you may have done that. It's hard to say for certain by looking at it, though, so nice work.

I know exactly what you mean.
