The ship's backwards if its escaping...

It's reversing out ;) I referenced the Deathstar exit from A New Hope :)

Yeah, it backed out and then swung around and flew away.

The render looks great, but the grain and film crap is a bit over done for my taste. Also, Death Star III? I didn't even know they built a 3rd one.

Heh, in that case you'll need to replace that circular sensor dish with a rectangular one.

    :p

Looking good though, I like it.

I figured it was a joke, but I also haven't read a lot of the later novels. For all I knew, the Imperial Remnant built another one. ;)

@Talon - Ah but, who knows, he may have had another accident ;)

Maybe he let Lando borrow the ship again...

    ;)

Second hand space freighter for sale, one careful owner, one... not so much.

    :p

Well considering there wasn't a 'scratch' on what was left of the ship. XD Also, in the expanded universe, they built/planned to build seven originally. One prototype was destroyed in the Maw, a group of black holes with a 'dead zone' in the middle, and then the two in the movies. I don't know what happened to the others.

EDIT: If he's backing out, why am I expecting to hear one of those work machine beeping sounds as he does so.

In space, no one can here you beep.

Great job Wiz. Looks like an old piece of film that wasn't taken too good of care.

Fortunately, the landing bay is pressurized with a magnetic field holding in an atmosphere. ;)

@Tralfaz, thanks matey :) love the old vintage film look.

Next planned shot (will be a much cleaner shot - less photographic wear) is the Falcon in Cloud City, getting the buildings built currently :)

Ooh, something to look forward to. I love Cloud City. :) In fact, TESB is my favorite of the Star Wars films.

Cloud City coming soon (after a few other projects/commitments) :)

Looking good Wiz! Can't wait to see the cloud city stuff. Are the cloud city buildings being built for Descendants of Order 66?

    Thanks matey :)

Cloud City will be built (simple versions which I will paint over with more detail) in between the pieces I am doing for the film, however they are not directly for the film itself; but rather for another commission I am working on for somebody :)

They never specifically said how the magnetic field works :p

No, but it is mentioned at least in the background chatter while the Falcon is being pulled into the bay in the original film.
