Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the feedback, much appreciated ! :thumb: ... before the thread disappears for a while, as I can't focus on this model right now (due to other work), but it will return later in the year to finish it off, complete with Cockpit Interior & Pilot ....
The next update will most likely show the Fuselage Panel work done, ....
Wow! You are doing an outstanding job on this. Details look spot on. I've built a cockpit and pilot, mostly based on the studio model. It's kinda what side tracked me from finishing mine. Clear details are hard to come by so if you want to bounce around ideas I could show you what I came up with for cockpit details. My goal was to model the panelling, Is that what you are going to do? You probably have most of the same references I have, but did you notice there are two versions of details on the center back of the ship, behind the cockpit? One with lots of greebly things and the other with some sort of cover. I'll try to post what I'm talking about if I still have those references.
I have noticed the detail is slightly different between ILM A-Wings, but what I've done so far for the recessed area (section behind the cockpit), is on both versions. The rest of the detail for that area will be down to preference on which one I decide to go with ...
