I'm working on a "proof of concept" animation sequence for work and I thought I would share the trails and, um, tribbulations of my designing and building the antagonist ship in the sequence.
Now the biggest difference I can see from the rest of the designs here is that I work in Maya and use NURBS exclusively.

I'm setting the time frame post-TMP but pre-TNG. I'm also seeing how to have a design bridge between the TOS Bird of Prey and TNG's D'Deridex-class Warbird.

Could you post some different angles? It's kinda hard to understand the whole shape from that view.
I always liked the "lost era" after TMP, and particularly the Romulan designs from said era, I love those orange details.
