I decided to play with Jen DeSalle's U.S.S.HECATE that she posted yesterday. She posted it with just a black background. So I took it and created a background scene for it to be flying in. I contacted Jen and she gave me permission to post this image.

It looks good, though the angle of the ship doesn't quite look right for having come out of the flare, which is presumably the temporal displacement thingamabob. (technical term ;)) It would look like it did come out of it if you shifted the flare up a bit. Of course, if you did that, then you'd have to account for the flare hitting the ship and casting shadows. But, overall, it's a nice piece.

It could techn ically also come out like that... By being hurled or otherwise thrown out in a less controlled fashion.

That actually was the idea I had. She was coming out of a bumpy time jump.

EG: I actually think it came out rather nice, I am currently trying to locate my copy of said mesh to give Sean some more to work with.. I can't for the life of me remember where I put it though :)

I never said it didn't look good, I was just getting nitpicky. ;)
