3DWIP - Various Stargate Stuff

Hi everybody,

This is the first time I post after a long time spent on the forums, so I decided to share some of my work with you.

It's still WIP and I wanted to have some comments.
I use Maya for modeling and rendering (with Mental Ray) and I would be very glad to have some tips especially concerning space scenes because there is not a lot of tutos out there for Maya...

So here you can find my version of the Atlantis gate, I used Col_Dilian's mesh as a reference for the modeling and I was testing layered shaders for texturing.

In bonus, a stargate type warship based on a mesh by SolCommand with details added and texturing. I'm really sorry I couldn't find the author of the background so if anyone knows I'll be glad to credit him or her.

PS : Sorry if I make some mistakes but english isn't my native language

That gate is really nicely done. Bravo! Nice images. My favorite was Atlantis, Loved the cast. Big Rodney McCay fan.
