Hopefully, I will finish this one. :flippy:

It's a superdreadnought design for my WIP universe. Canonically, its the cutting-edge flagship of the navy. I'm aiming for it to look angular and menacing.

I'm already starting to work my way back here.

An experiment with various turret styles, and I'm not sure which one to go with.

And a slightly older picture, with greeble experimentation. The red thing is a placeholder turret.

Double Barreled Super Guass Cannons or MAC's

Forget Practicality, and go for for Rule of Cool.

But seriously, nice design so far. looking forward to seeing her finished.

I can also see a weapon emplacement between the fork, with some detail on the inboard sides of the mandibles acting as waveguides.

publiusr: I built the fork for that purpose, I just haven't gotten around to detailing the emitter array yet.

I could have done more today, but I have school stuff to do. So... well...

Slowly working my way towards the back of the ship. This is where the main body begins to widen. I'll also put mounts for side pods of some sort.

The underside is less detailed than the top, but I'll work on that.

How far into the future is this universe set?
  • InfinitySquaredInfinitySquared171 Posts: 0Member
It's set around AD 29XX, in the middle of a galactic Cold War gone hot.

And the (mostly) finished hull, with experimental greebles.

this is really cool, it actually looked just as good in the top post when it was only like half the length

Well, I took some today thinking of all of the ship's features. She's a modular battlecarrier, those indentations along the centerline are mount points for hardpoint clusters and auxilliary modules. The large flat surfaces near the back are the landing decks, which I'll cover with a shroud or somesuch. And between the fork is a dual-stage antimatter beam cannon. The first stage being an antimatter-matter reaction focused into a beam, and the second is an antiparticle cannon.
