VRay problems.

So, I'm using 3ds Max and VRay 2.0. I'm trying to illuminate a fighter's cockpit using a material set up like this:

VRaylight as the base material of a VRay Material wrapper, which is the coat of a VRay blend material.

What happens when I render is that it emits photons, but it shows up as a black space in the render itself, like this:

make a separate plane with a self illuminated standard material. place it under the screen. make a new vray material for the glass of the screen transparent with reflections.
and use a weak standard light to lighten up the surroundings. i doesnt need to cast a shadow, but it needs to have a short far attenuation.

if you REALLY need to lighten the surroundings with the screen image (like if its animated and colors change and all), instead of using a standard with self illum, use a vray light material.

its easier for vray to calculate multiple objects one beween another rather than ultra complex materials.
