I'm a new Maya user coming from Max '09, and after fiddling with the new interface for a few days I've really noticed how much quicker the work flow is in Maya than it is in Max (personally), but I miss some tools from Max
..
Anyways, the cutting tools in Maya (Split Polygon, Cut Faces) both require an edge to work off of..
My question is: is there a tool or plug in I can download so I can freehand cut shapes into pre-existing poly's, like I could in Max and as is done in the Madfish's tutorial for making Hull Plating?
Or more simply, is there a technique that I could use in Maya that would work just as good?
