Okay, been updating my website, and working on other projects, but as winter sets in, I want to get back to modeling. Before I continue on my Eagle and Connie redesigns, I thought I'd warm up with one I've wanted to do for a long time, and after seeing REL777's amazing scratchbuild the time seemed right.
This is really impressive work! I have been a HUGE fan of the concept X-Wing ever since I bought the 1/72 scale resin model kit. You are really doing it justice and giving it the credit it really deserves! I have attached 2 insignias that I designed for a base for my model of the concept X-Wing. The backstory that I came up with was that this was the prototype, the XT-65A Incom's Space Superiority Starfighter Program. eventually becoming a front line production fighter. If you want, feel free to use them any way you would like.
I look forward to seeing more of your excellent work on this project!
No problem, I look forward to seeing more of this project. I would love to get a hold of a top and front view of this fighter so I could make you a custom T-65A flight patch/insignia.
I'm glad you like the idea of a flight patch, I would like to share with you where I'm at with it. This is only a WIP to give you the general idea of where it's going. When you post a front view of your ship I would love to add it to the center of the insignia, with your permission of course. The Aurebesh translates as XT-65A X-Wing, Flight Test Team. As always, please feel free to use it any way you wish.
it would be great if they showed this design as your building it in "Star Wars The Clone Wars" cartoon presently been made. a prelude to the one used in the film type thing
“You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed.”
That would be pretty awesome, but the Z-95 Headhunter is a version of this prototype, has that been shown in the CW yet?
Not yet, however, the Z-95 Headhunter has been shown in one of the animations in The Force Unleashed II game. Specifically 2 of them are escorting the Rogue Shadow to the Rebel Fleet.
Incredible job on the X-Wing Prototype! I am loving your work! As promised, here is a version on the insignia that I created for the for the Flight Test Team. I made it on the assumption that the X-Wing project was first established during the final days of the Old Republic as a replacement for the Z-95 Headhunter and that by the Battle of Coursant Incom was flight testing the XT-65A prototypes with the hope of the craft being approved for production by the Old Republic Navy. Well, we all know how badly that story ended for Incom and the T-65. I hope that you like the insignia and thank you very much for allowing me to use your exceptional render as part of it. Please feel free to use it any way that you wish. I hope you don't mind, but I also included some t-shirt type designs just to see how it would look.
I am looking forward to seeing more of this project and your future works!

I may model the cockpit interior next, and do a video animation test... but for mow, this is back on the shelf.
