This is a render I did for practice in Carrara 6 Pro. It's a Tholian fdrom Star Trek on patrol on a Venus-like world. The goal was to try and get a hot, stormy planet look, and practice modeling the figure as well. The Tholian is based on a redesign found on this Relic forum thread about Star Trek redesigns (It's by someone called "Norsehead." I liked his better than the Tholian seen on Enterprise. In any event, it's still a work in progress, so any suggestions on improving the composition or getting better results out of Carrara would be appreciated.
