Particle Flow help?

NymainNymain0 Posts: 0Member
I have a space battle scene coming along nicely but I've hit a problem

Basically I am using Particle Flow to do the impact shots and using FumeFx to do explosions.

The very nice effect I've created using a sphere as an object 'growing it' into the explosion and then shrinking it when it subsides.

Now I have set up the particle system for debris etc but I do not know how to mix the two, Ideally I would like a way of either creating the spheres where the impacts are and offsetting the animation there (I know about instancing geometry) but that doesn't seem to work.

The other option is to create FumeFx boxes at the explosion time and offsetting its animation, or setting a particular particle to the fume fx (i.e. spawn a particle at the point of impact and make some Fume FX use that),
Would greatly appreciate any help on doing anything like it thanks

try a spawn to trigger your debris. you can let the parent live, but you'll have a start point to generate your debris.
