I just started constructing my Churchill in SolidWorks. I intend to mill it out with Mastercam X and the Haas machine we have here at Penn State. I'm making it the same scale as the amt/ertl Enterprise. It will be great to see it as an actual model if all goes well.

Here's a pic.

I'm sure you realize this, but it'll go faster and you'll be able to rough out more details if you divide the ship into kit parts.

    Hi Brian!
So, the old lady can now come to "real life"? :) When seeing the pic, for a short time, believed I was seeing her in the Sketchup interface. :D
No more news about the old Lagrange Point site? ;)

I intend to break it up into smaller parts. I'm working with a 3 axis machine so it will take a bit of planning.

I think someone had another starship named Churchill, a Chandley with a huge aft shuttlebay add on.

Can't wait to see this version though.

Fantastic! Done right the Churchill has the potential to rival Riley's Phobos. Keep it up, you do great work!

I hope SW is good for ship design... I'm about to learn it.
