Mirroring creases problem

lordofardalordofarda0 Posts: 0Member
So I'm making a car and as such is a symmetrical model, yet when I go to do the mirror polygon to check things out, it doesn't mirror my creases. Only way I can seem to mirror the creases is to duplicate the mesh, do a negative scale, then combine/merge vertices. But then that breaks my proxy. Any idea how to fix this?

Here's what my settings look like (linked since the image is big):

I've run into that before and it's usually because the verts aren't actually merged. Did you double check the verts? Also, isn't the "connect boarder edges" option what you want?

Yeah, all the vertexes are merged. And I don't want to connect the border edges because everything is made of flat panels. If I connected the border edges it'd create a whole bunch of ugly solid shapes.
