What do you think about the additional sidearms?

I like it. It gives the dock some additional details and workstation feel. It would be interesting to see some kind of working arm as seen in the Warp 5 complex (Enterprise). Do you also have plans to add TOS style workbees, pods and eva suited people?

A working arm is a good idea as well as a tos style workbee.
Do you have, by chance, a reference for a old workbee?

I don't have any references for old, TOS, workbees... the oldest canon ones are from a TMP lineage. You might want to use those and change them so they resemble the TOS era more closely.

Perhaps the inspection pod seen in Enterprise combined with what muffiman posted could work, the grapling arms you added would work though. Also, to make the drydock feel more TOS, you could change the UFP symbol with the old symbol as seen in TOS. The red with gold flag that is

If you want to build a TOS style workbee. I'd like to suggest something from the 1960s. I think you could come up with an interesting design if you adapt the look of the CAT 769 Mining Truck from the '60s. Specifically the driver's cab.

Here are some ideas that some of you might want to pursue. I wonder if the Travel pod we saw in ST: TMP could dock to the round section of the Vulcan shuttle and be used as an emergency cockpit, with perhaps the Archer era (Phoenix cockpit-inspired) pod perhaps docking to the nose of say, an automated tug.

If a cross-over series could be had, the Travel pod with SG-Atlantis Puddle-jumper features might look cool.
