@ghostfight: Erm... not so sure about those figures. D'Anna looks like a bloke with a couple of mangoes stuffed down his shirt. Six's face looks quite good though.

I gotta agree. While the rest of the submission on this thread have been between "cool" and "splendiferous" ... the women are, well, a bit over-engineered??!? :)

All three appear to have visited Beverly Hills recently and, ahem, had some chassis work done. New optional extras installed, that sorta thing.

Still, the rest has been splendid!

lol, with a little bit of editing and cleanup, those could be used for a BSG video game. Man, I wish they would make one that would trounce the xbox one they made, just before the series.
Great work on the CIC by the way :)

It's a starfury pilot from one of his public releases:D

Erm...not to nitpick, but that's the wrong spelling. Should be hangar...lol

Anyway, randomness aside, awesome work, as always. :thumb:

woops.. and that's not the only thing, I also noticed I put quotes around Fabio's name in the credits for no discernible reason..:p

Wow that's some pretty solid stuff :thumb: If you added some brightness/contrast adjustments, film grain and extra slight movements to the camera then it would be 100% new BSG !

    Hello:
Wow, that sure looks detailes, I like the missile launchers, it sure looks like the Baseship is about to blow-up someone .
But can I ask if this is the Zoic design or the retconned one?
    Keep it up!

    It's a quasi-random mixture of the two variants:thumb:

I kinda want to redo all the textures... from scratch. Maybe even use this model as an excuse to learn real uv mapping:o

Finally got around to making a viper pilot...
    attachment.php?attachmentid=77327&d=1264519249

Doesn't look like much close up... in fact I'd go as far as to say that the helmet looks terrible, but she works well enough in the cockpit of a viper:D 77327.jpg77328.jpg

Is there a link to that Viper?
  • todaytoday0 Posts: 37Member
It originally came from colonial fleets, a way way long time ago.. couldn't say for sure if it's still up for download there or not:)

I just love the Basestar... Is this available somewhere? Maybe even in max?
  • todaytoday0 Posts: 37Member
It is available, but currently only exists in LightWave (.lwo) format. It wouldn't be such a big deal for me export an .obj or .3ds file from LightWave, however it would be completely untextured (I think) and would probably mangle some geometry (I think).

I'll have to check around and see if there's anyone who might be willing to help do a proper conversion:)

Figured out how to fix the oddness with the volumetric shadows... rendering the scene again. Video will be back up tomorrow
