Hi there....Does anyone know how to make a background picture of a warp starfield in Lightwave? I want to make a image that shows a ship in warp. I don't know how to stretch the stars. Any suggestions?

try modeling them.
usualy, hemisphere-ended cylinders do the trick.

The other option is go into modeller, use the "spray points" tool, cut a cylinder out of hte centre of the points so you have a nice round hole and then a scattering of points around it, then use the jitter tool on all the points and finally extrude them. This wil give you two point polygons that you can render out as star streaks. Add a texture on them and you're done.
