I know it ... set in your material, in the Bitmap that you are using, search the tab of "Time" and set "ON" the "Sync Time which particles Age" (umm .. i not know if i explain well .... dawn language barriers! )
Plus, you must be activate in "Particle View", in your Spawn test event that create the shape marks, "Restart particle Age".
Ahh... I discover that 3d max ,doing strange things when you use a stack of images (ifl) instead of a animated file like a avi or mov when try to sync which Particles Age (It don't do well, do weird things)
I improve my previous version of the "shield rings". Only i need to apply a glow (and perhaps make more distortion on the expanding rings)
