Applying name and registry with Lightwave?

I know how to do it in Max but I'm still getting used to LW so I was wondering what is the easiest way to apply a Star Trek ship name and registry using Lightwave 9? Thanks.

Same way it's done in 3ds Max.

i.e. registry image plus an alpha.
