The Wraith was to be the most advanced star fighter of its time. The Wraith enjoyed popularity among the pilot community even though its active duty lifetime was cut short by the discovery of reliable self-repairing organic sensors just before the first ships launched from the shipyard. The new reliable sensors made the need for a transparent canopy obsolete making the Wraith the last of the "Glass Cockpit" fighter craft.
