And yes, definitely getting the Alien universe vibes from the ship but it's also something that could easily fit in elsewhere.
Thank you. I get the Alien reference. Some of this mesh I lifted from one of my Blake's 7 ships (the Scorpio) and I repurposed them, and altered them to fit what I have in my mind. I think the Nostromo and the Scorpio are linked by the same model maker *shrug* One thing the Nostromowasn't was a cargo ship, it was a space tow truck. The Galadin is very much a cargo ship, and possibly a lot bigger. I don't know for sure, I haven't really looked into it, and I'm not going to (there's no need).
The Galadin's Pride is something I've written about, and yes I am taking the time to "see" what the ship actually looks like. Basically you're right, it's a flying warehouse, (a brick with engins is how my better half described it, lol).
Got distracted this afternoon, so I haven't done any more work to her - I will get the cargo hold finished off, and then have a long hard think about the short range shuttle.
More soon :-)

Today's offering (minus the braces and roof tiles so you can SEE it) -
Yes, it's a fabric that connects those two pieces. Not rending right, hummm. The main cargo hold is almost done. Little things to do. Cargo grabber is simple and does the job, the cargo supervisor's office is now built in, and to the deck layout. For those wondering the main hold is 48m deep by 36m wide by 15m high.
I'll get those final pesky details done, and move on to the shuttle! More soon :-)

I really like the details that you're designing for your universe.
Thank you!
Basic interior for the shuttle is done:
I don't think I need anything more detailed at the moment, it does the job. But I shall leave the door open to doing a proper interior in the future :-)
Aside from markings, a name, and some roughing up, the shuttle is almost complete.
Comments welcome, more soon!

That is the shuttle and main ship done aside from some odd tweaks and stuff. More on that later.
Was going back through the WIP folder and found this old study model - the Galadin that could have been, but wasn't. Maybe I'll devolpe it as another another ship? Either way, here you go -
Enjoy, comments welcome. More soon!

Thank you - that she can. I really need to the hold finished and move on to the shuttle!
More soon.

Rendered without cargo to speed up render time. But I think I've shown just big the main hold is.
Shuttle is up next, and maybe a few ground vehicles as well.
More soon!

Thank you!
Still thinking about the shuttle. Should have something to show later today :-)

It's not growing on me. So I'm going to have another go at it.
More later.

Both. I've had a rethink and will post a different idea later.

Thank you. I will revisit the landing legs on the Galadin, I've had an idea on to make them look more substantial ;-)
Thank you.

Needs and interior (which I will build) and a way of getting in and out (ramp at the back). More on that soon!
