These are all very nicely done - but, I'm kind of concerned that so few are apparently looking...
Is Blake's 7 that obscure now? I loved that show way back in the day (not a Brit either).
I don't know if Blake's 7 is considered obscure - it remains one of the most influential sci-fi shows ever. Babylon 5, Farscape, Stargate SG1, Battlestar Galactica (reboot) and modern Trek all site the show for it's influence on them. In some cases some of those shows wouldn't exist without Blake's 7.
I think most people are sitting on Discord, rather than looking at the forum. I don't have time to do that, so hence I'm posting here. Or maybe, Blake's 7 is just not that interesting. But I'm not going to build Trek again, the last time there was too much nit-picking, and working on something different is fun :-)
I'll finish the stuff in the Tech Manual and see how it goes.

Totally! I think there's a lot of interesting space with these items to play. Even if it's just small quality of life upgrades to give them a sense of scale, details, etc.

As the hexagon was an important shape to The System, and was something of a motif inside the ship, I decided to use it as the bases for the entire ship. As much as possible I have tried to keep the lines and elements that state this is a DSV (Liberator). The System Attack Ship is up next for a 2022 look. Comments welcome, more soon.

Similar lines to the Liberator, but it is built by the same race so it has to have a similar look and feel, plus keep enough of the original to make it clear what it is. Enjoy. Comments welcome, more soon (in the way of an updated Federation ship).

Scale shots - yes the new London is bigger, but it was about building a ship transporting 50 odd prisoners and un-specified number of crew on an eight month journey. Wanted to build something a little more believable. Anyways;

I like your new takes. Have to admit, never seen the original show, just the designs so I'm not attached, but the new take has a nice tweak to it I like.

Thank you!
Given that it's a show from 1978 you either have to be old enough to remember it, or have seen the repeats. Blake's 7 was a stand out show, dark gritty and left an ending that shocked a generation. It was a show that took risks, and they all paid off. It paved the way for Babylon 5, Farscape and a whole host of other sci-fi shows that have - yet - to be just as dark. Yeah, it was a show of it's time, and the sets and fx leave a lot to be desired. But the story... yeah, they story was amazing.
Anyways... back to the project in hand. A 2022 version of Scorpio is on the way (the hero ship from the final season) - and then on to the stations. Then... We shall see.
More soon!

Kills me that all the pics are already down . . . would love to see what these look like! I've just converted Bridge Commander B7 mods to SketchUp for volumetrics and other analysis purposes ... maybe they're yours?

The Liberator - or DSV2 should be about 1,000 meters long. It's a massive ship. The blasters are about the same size as a Galaxy Class Starship, and are one-shot weapons - fire once, and your target is destroyed. But's that's based off the technical manual.
Anyway, reactivating this thread and bumping it -
These ships, and more, are finished. But I always had a plan to do a "modern" take on them. Watch this space updates dropping very soon :-)

Regarding the length of the Liberator, I know that Trekyards did a video about the ship. The way they worked things out was pretty crappy, and ignored the fact that a known length ship is seen next to the ship (the Prison Transport Ship London). Plus the ship's designer and creator has said a lot about the size of the ship. It's 1,000 meters long - end of argument (before it starts). Trekyards should stick to doing Trek ships and leave other shows alone unless they do the proper homework. For instance, did they even bother to look at this?
Nope.
End of surman.
More on this project later ;-)

It wasn't aired in my area when I was growing up. And so far I've only managed to see the first episode. Really gotta get back to watching the show.
