Small update. Just started work on the first attachable pods. This will be the gunship module and will add extra firepower and living space to the ship.

It has been a very very long time since I last posted here and since I just started to get back into 3d design over the last few years I figured I'd pop in a share my current project.

This is a new original Stargate design I'm calling the Abydos class.

At this point I have finished the modeling of the core ship for the Abydos.

The main special concept of this design is the core ship act as an escort / heavy patrol ship but the design is setup in a way to allow other modules / pods to be added to the sides of the ship to increases it's capabilities. Currently I have planned a gunship pod which will increase its overall fire power, Anti-capital ship pod to increases it's ship to ship fighting capabilities and finally a planetary assault pod to increases the ships storage and troop moving ability while also suppressing hostile forces on the ground from orbit.

This will be part of a larger project since I want to make a free pdf based fan guide / art book for all my post disclosure Stargate ideas.

Finished the center of the underside and have started on the basic paneling for the tops of the wings.
