Nice work, you inspired me to re-watch the VOY “Flashback” episode. I always liked Sulu’s stand in front of his captain’s chair and I’m a fan of those station chairs.
@Rekkert I could see Mayweather sitting upside down in the corner of this room after finding the “sweet spot” there! It definitely has a securely in the center of the ship feel to it and I love the TOS vibes from the layout.
@evil_genius_180 I’ve always assumed the crew of the Sutherland replicated the dedication plaque for the auxiliary control room when they found out they were heading out on a mission due to the main bridge still under repair.
Sorry to hear you’re having a ruff time. For what it’s worth, your posts brightens my day. The best source of new TNG material is in this thread as far as I’m concerned!
Oh yeah, I've been looking forward to the Yamato! I love when you work on canon bridges. One thing I've noticed, is that the captain's chair, if not all the command seating, is about a foot higher than what they are on the Enterprise. You can really tell from that first screenshot compared to the render.
@Rekkert You could mix up the style of padding, like they did in the Yamato's Ready Room. It looks like they added the 10-forward style in the same greenish-blue color.
A damn fine ship’s bridge if you ask me! - Scotty probably
I really like what you did with the vertical light columns from the Enterprise-E.
Did you consider connecting and elongating the workstations behind the command chairs to form a larger workstation? Almost like an updated horseshoe design from the Galaxy class bridges. It would give a similar look to the Pasteur, but functional.
I also feel like she almost has too many side work stations for a ship her class. Maybe the two sets of stations could be replaced with padding? Really nice work though!
Yeah, the office’s two doorways aren’t there to let people cut through, but rather for the CMO to have easy access to both areas as Rekkert stated above.
