Thanks! The whole point is to prove that an update can be done well. I think I started thinking about it back when 2009 came out. And now Discovery fueled me to start this up again haha.

I do think it works better as the Anti matter tank. I guess I prefer horizontal warp cores on Starfleet ships. It just makes more sense with the cylindrical nature of most secondary hulls.

You can see the warp core, machinery and piping, and the deck plans for the neck below. I do want to do complete deck plans, but I'll consider this model done once I finish the windows and textures. Everything else is extra credit.

I redid the whole thing again, nothing to see there (just improved topology). Now the first detail work begins with the deflector:

^^Doug was on the Trekyards channel a while back talking about it. He had some interesting ideas. I'm actually tempted to uber size it, so it really becomes a mobile space station meant to travel between galaxies. We'll see...

I also slapped some grid lines procedural textures on the Disco for reasons. I might as well get working on a fully detailed model of it at the rate I keep iterating:

So my parents recently found a box with some old doodles of mine, and I decided to work on one idea again. When I was 12 I started trying to design a hero ship, as if I was making a new Star Trek series. It went from Exeter class to Destiny class, but since that's a little cheesy now I'm calling it the Inceptor class.
