Quick flyby of the Big D to test out my conversion of Lewis Niven's model to C4D & Redshift. The windows are a bit too reflective - the 'off' ones look a bit like you can see through the ship (you can't) - so they'll be fixed for the next time.
Added some very subtle panel work to make close-up shots intersting. Balanced all the things, tweaked window intensities and fade distances etc, engine glows sorted. Romulan logos added bow and stern. Nothing left! Pretty happy with her I think
I forgot to post this earlier. After a couple of comments on the windows, I went back to using the EXR, but added in a distance-from-camera variable to control blending to just solid colour. This way, when the camera gets close enough you can see into the rooms, but from a distance it's just lit circles, which looks massively better. I still need to tweak the distances where this takes place, but you get the idea...
