So, ThePhxRises has been kind enough to take on the commission for the Alaska-Class Starship, from the old blueprint sheet from the convention days of yore. As far as I'm aware, nobody has ever modeled this ship, in CGI or physical media, so it looks like we're the first. Here are the first batch of WIP images. Thanks. Yeah, I really didn’t want to brush paint, but at the time, the prospect of masking off all the details on the Maquis hull was pretty daunting. But I think now I figured out how to do it. Besides, I did improve my brush skills a bit with this. I’m calling this first one done. Gonna hang her up from my ceiling now, and enjoy looking at her. This is the first thing I’ve ever kitbashed, and honestly, I’m amazed no major issues came up during the build. She’s not perfect, but I did learn a lot during the process, which will be applied to the next Yeager I build, as well as the Elkins.
