Oh wow, that's WAY bigger than I expected. I love that thing. What if it's a big tanker, there's a skin of chambers and corridors, but in the center are aquatic creatures that humans are working with? The intelligent whales and dolphins helping mankind colonize their new solar cluster?

Interesting Idea! The ultimate in Eco Rescue.

Actually I was seeing this as the transport ships for the Upper-crust colonizers who move in after the Seeders have done their job of terraforming a planet - with the Seeders becoming trapped in an under class - "worker bee" level on the planet.

Cool Stuff, Nice to see something other then Star Trek (verity is the SPICE of life - pun intended)... And from a fellow Washington resident no less! I'm holding down the South-East (Richland) area though... Hot as Heck right now (100+)...

Thanks Blue, I like it too, but I think the effect may need to be softened a bit.

Here's another look at the bridge. It is slightly reconfigured from the original.

Love seeing your evolution. I look forward to seeing into your future.

I also didn't appreciate how much these things look like tape measures.

If you put your foot down, I'm sure you'll inch something out. I know how tricky it can be to meter out a design.

SMH... Give them an inch and they take a mile... all in all some very cool stuff here. I actually like the "Future Computer" terminal design. I think it could go somewhere.

Going through my old threads and fixing the image links that are busted - sorry for the repost, couldn't edit the first post.

Wow so much good stuff on the site! Hopefully this will be a good addition. There was a "great idea" "poor execution" TV show in the 70s called Starlost that had great potential but was fumbled along the way. I loved the ship though, it was awesome!

By the way, here is an idea of how massive this model was:

Many years later I built a version of the TV show model in Sketchup and put it out on the Sketchup warehouse (it's still there if you would like a copy - needs cleaning up though) it was one of the first things I did in Sketchup and the mesh shows it.

Well, many years later the stuff I see here, and a guy on Deviant Art that used the old model in some of his work, has moved me to rework the model. I put together this yesterday:

    Anyway, more to come...
