I don't get to post work very often these days, but I've finished another ship!

I guess I started this around 2005 (is there even anybody still here who remembers that!) but it's been rebuilt from scratch over the past few months

    Very nice wiork.
Is it lightwave or 3ds Max?

Oh I remember this lol I learned a lot about optimization and tricks of cleaning meshes up off the WIP wires back then.
Each day we draw closer to the end.

Beautyful work. Did you model the full Aerowing?

nope, I did them on the D and E and they never got used so not much point really, it would have just slowed the rest down

Must be fresh out of the shipyard... I've always found the super polished look several years into service almost like they treat the ships like Air Force One, polish everything!

    Great model though. :thumb:

I should say this calls for an animation.

So nice, Dave. Your renders so closely match the promotional material that I have to keep reminding myself that it's NOT the model we're so used to looking at. Kinda cool, too, to know that the fan-made models are no well past the quality and detail of the actual models used to make the series.

I think I still have some of the WIP images from back then saved in my folders.

    The model looks fantastic!

Great work Dave, if this is anything like the detail on your Ent E, she will be a stunner.
