Worked on the harbor. I guess something three or so kilometers across qualifies as a harbor.

I downloaded the new AutoCAD today. Found a semi-major bug first thing. After that I found another bug they haven't fixed in the past four releases.

That's looking good so far. :)

Don't you love these companies?

I realized today that this thing is 2.5 times the length of Babylon 5. Too big for what I had originally intended.

Added a factory/recycling area just forward of the drive, a secondary docking area for service vehicles, and a main street / plaza area at the bow. By the way, the park is courtesy of Google Maps.

The ship is too big. If I walk, the movie will be over.

As a city ship, I don't see it as too big. If it was a light cruiser, on the other hand.... ;)

You could take the train... The volume of the main part of the ship is something like 145 cubic kilometers, with 19,519 square kilometers of 'floor space' (with each 'deck' at 124 meters).

That's an interesting design for a cruiser. I'm looking forward to seeing where you go with it. :)

I have only the vaguest idea of where this is going.

Looks like something from Dr. Frankenstein's lab.

Ah, such a classic film. :)

Great looking work on the ship. :)
  • rojrenrojren2298 Louisville, Kentucky USAPosts: 1,970Member
Yeah, I can really annoy the hell out of someone with that movie. Lot's of quotable lines.

"I was going to make espresso."

    Added a few things.

    "Could be worse."
    "How?"
    "Could be raining." (starts pouring)

The ship's looking good. I like the details on the top part.

Interesting design. One thing I like about this thread is the outside the box thinking you put into your varied designs.
  • rojrenrojren2298 Louisville, Kentucky USAPosts: 1,970Member
    Thank you.

Whenever I hear the "outside the box" analogy, I picture myself walking around a large room-size box that voices and music are coming from. And as I walk around the box I'm wondering to myself "How'd they get in there?".

You don't want in there, it's a trap.
