When I saw you started on a mesh, I also started on my lunch today. Not very far on it yet, but would love to see how you interpreted the design. Hunter knocked it out of the park with this design!
Maybe you still remember LordSavains Enterprise -mcquarrie style? It had been posted here some years ago and from time to time I found pictures and -at last- a homepage. I don't want to hijack this thread, but please - for further inspiration - let me introduce http://www.galacticempire.org/2011/05/star-trek-planet-of-titans.html
BTW, has anyone else been having problems uploading attachments? I've tried it on three different computers and two different network connections to no avail.

As mentioned by Nightfever, this is a known issue (thanks Alex). In addition to his link, suggest you also check out this tutorial from MadKoiFish if you're looking for compatible external hosting options while the staff work this out.

Thanks. I was just trying to change the thumbnail that you see for the thread preview (I use Dropbox otherwise). I guess we'll just have to wait until that is fixed, oh well.
This is my favorite of all your designs, hands down! Great job! Only thing I wanted to add was that on most of your designs, the pylons appear flatter and wider than the standard configuration -- is that intentional? On the Discovery it looks appropriate, but on your other designs it looks just a little bit "off" -- but just a little bit! -- They're still awesome designs!). I'm "Old School" ship design where the pylons have the inner dimensions to accommodate the "pipeworks" leading up to the warp field generators (the nacelles). Maybe it's just me, but sometimes I think the pylons are just to skinny or flimsy and seem to be designed to just connect the nacelle assembly to a major hull structure (mostly hulls containing the stardrive section of any given ship). I digress...Love your designs and keep up the great work!

Would you mind if some of us took a crack at modeling your Discovery?
I hope this is OK ?
That is just superb! I am happy now
Your Ship are very nice !
All models ?
Not sure what you mean 'All Models?' trekki. The images are of the mesh I created in Cinema 4D from Hunter's drawing.
modeled everything
this is my Version from the Ship from the new Serie.
Well, I finally got a new pen for my tablet, so I did some 25th century ships this time. 2 cruisers and an escort. Just thumbnail concepts for now:
Something different this time, a Type I Phaser concept for my reboot universe.

I basically just tweeked the proportions to look a little better. Here is a comparison so you can see the difference:
As for the class name, I'm thinking Extant class, but I'm not 100% sure on that yet
