Offset Individual (or Selected Group) Faces - 3ds Max

SchimpfySchimpfy396 Posts: 1,632Member
Hey all,

I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to offset individual or selected group faces in Max 2014. I know of the shell modifier, but that applies to the entire object and not the faces I've selected. My searches have turned up that it seems to be possible with NURBS objects. My problem with that is that I'm such a novice I don't know all of the other terms outside of vertex, edge, face and polygon. :p

75 thread views and nothing. Is my question just that much of a n00b issue, is it impossible or does no one honestly have a clue?

It may depend on how many of those "views" were bots. (Google, Yahoo, etc.) They routinely scan forums.

Sadly, I don't use Max, or I'd at least try to answer the question. I could tell you how to do it in Lightwave, but I don't think that will help. :p

Alas, I don't model at all ... so I barely understand the question! :D

    Sorry, man!
