Often times when I come to this forum I look at the works in progress and notice that the hull lines on other people's ships look very good, like they fit with them.. well, for me I've always wondered how people have done this. The only method I know of that I learned from watching oen of Andrew Prices tutorials was to UV unwrap the mesh, export that UV map, import into a program like Photoshop and draw lines across.
While this works for the most part, I've begun to wonder if people have their own methods, other ways of accomplishing this. Thus what I am wondering is, what is the secret that people use? Am I just doing it wrong?
If you look at the attachment you'll barely be able to see the hull lines....
