(3ds max) Dynamically Bend Objects Around Other Objects

Is there a way to make an object, such a hose automatically bend around another object, for example, the hoses that come down from the Terminator's skull, when the head turns, they intersect the neck parts, I was wondering if there is a way to make them "collide" with the neck so that the neck bends them out of the way...

I've used all kinds of keywords in Google, can't seem to find anything.

    Look into the path deform constraint, or use a FFD modifier.

    Other than that, you'd have to rig the section with a custom IK chain most likely to get it to behave exactly how you want.
