Bigger trekkies probably know about this one, but just saw this over at IndieGoGo. Walter Koenig and Tim Russ are trying to do a pilot episode to pitch to CBS for a new Trek series. Has some nice talent involved including the two guys above, John Eaves designing the ships! Don't quite know what I think of their renegade ship, but I like the Klingon one. I wonder where they get their 3D talent from, if it's a studio they started or if it's all freelance work. I saw one of Tobias' renders on their site. Would be pretty sweet to work just a bit on that show just to say I did. :),

    Why I wonder is why Tim Russ had to have new ears made... he didn't get to keep a pair from Voyager? :(

    Sounds kinda lame...I'd love to see a new Trek TV series but I'm not liking this concept...sounds like 1 two hour long episode..not a whole series.

    I have always thought that a series based on the Trek underworld would be fantastic so it hits on that but the whole ooohhhhhh ahhhhhhh the poor dilithium supply..I dunno...so is this just the plot for the pilot or the whole series? It wasn't clear.

    I think a series about the Maquis would be cool. Could have been an interesting topic for a movie too if they hadn't gone and rebooted everything.
